The inaugural IDG Summit in 2022 brought together over 800 guests including Otto Scharmer, Amy Edmondson, Robert Kegan, Jennifer Garvey Berger, Johan Rockström and many more to Stockholm – with thousands joining in digitally or from local hubs.
What started as an idea that emerged on an island in the Stockholm archipelago, has brought practitioners around the world into dialogue on what it means to put the Inner Development Goals really into action to reach the Sustainable Development Goals.
So the question we will explore at the 2023 Summit is about how we connect the dots of what we know about Inner Development in practice and research around the world.
Co-create the framework
As we are on our way to taking the research behind the framework and the toolkit truly global, we want to address geographical and cultural biases in the framework and invite you to both contribute and celebrate this endeavor.
At the Summit, we will be launching the 23 IDG symbols, created by the same designer who created the logos and communication language for the SDGs, and co-created with our community.
Global Launch of the IDG Symbols
We will bring you together with a small group of other participants before the event to connect digitally before you connect in real-life. This will be opt-in, and only for in-person participants.
Connecting the Dots in Person
Digital Experience
If you want to join us digitally, we are planning a truly hybrid event: A rich, interactive 2-day experience broadcasted from Stockholm, with spaces for interaction and connection. Afterwards, you can replay the videos and access the community platform for a year.
On Wednesday, you will get inspired by some of the most influential thinkers and practitioners in the fields of global leadership, art, science, inner development and sustainability in the beautiful and extraordinary location of the Cirkus Arena in Stockholm.
We will celebrate the five IDG dimensions, get insights on the most current research on the IDGs, look into all aspects of the global IDG movement and start connecting the dots - together.
On Thursday, we invite you to go deeper in hands-on workshops with your favorite on-stage speakers in more intimate venues, all across the city of Stockholm. You will be able to dive into topics, discuss, interact, and learn with them in a smaller setting, and create a deeper connection between the dots.
We will end the day with a celebratory dinner and - party!
And if you wish to extend your experience until Friday, we will have an open space and time to decompress together and connect to your fellow participants.
Included in the ticket price:
- Two days of access to the in-person Summit in Stockholm, including both lunch and dinner on October 11 and 12 (value of 250€).
- A free ticket to all monthly IDGs Gatherings (online) in 2023.
Two full days of content, rich interaction in the workshops, and connection through the Howspace platform - which will stay online so you can rewatch or continue the conversation.
Many of our IDG Hubs will be screening the event and possibly adding an extra experience layer. A list to find your local event will be available once events are confirmed.
Hubs will have their own ticketing strategy,
along the principles of our non-profit initiative.
If you are not a Hub and would like to bring people together in the spirit of the IDGs to watch the event locally, we will gift you a ticket when you register here.
The Summit will take place over 2,5 days across Stockholm.
